As you very well know, Photography is a record of a moment in time and it’s important to capture that moment with the beauty, reality and artistic interpretation that moment calls for. I photograph the world as I feel it and tell the story in an emotional and compelling way. For years I have studied photography both formally and informally to develop my ability to channel the feeling of the moment into an image. I post process to enhance the emotions that I want the image to have. I want them to feel like a memory and an emotion. I believe in a personal approach with my clients and we will have an initial meeting over coffee to get to know each other and go over my plans and services before scheduling the session.
I photograph weddings, portraits, children, models, and pets and create photo essays on life in Calgary. Weddings; I love the ups and downs and emotions and challenges and fast pace of the event. Portraits & children; I allow things to happen naturally and we always have a good time because a natural smile and natural movement are the best! My work with Models is purely for artistic purposes at this time; we always have fun and we always create some stunning art. My newest addition, Photo Essays on life in Calgary with The Examiner, allows me to exercise my photojournalistic and creative mind. Although this endeavor has just begun, I'm excited by the real life story-telling possibilities for the future and will blog about it. I think it will serve as an enhancement to my current documentary style of wedding photography.
I am constantly practicing and improving my photographic skills, attending workshops, classes and seminars and taking on projects that will challenge me and improve my techniques. Keep an eye out for “Portfolio re-building Specials” sometimes I need real-life people and situations for my projects which result in a substantial savings for you on services and sometimes products if you fit the project specs.
